Sam's Town RV Park was by far the best campground on our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The RV Park was very well organized and clean. The Restrooms/Bathhouses were very clean. The pool and Hot Tub were great as well. The laundry facilities were great. I also liked the Sam's Town Security who made patrols at night. The Shuttles to the strip and Downtown were a great addition to the amenities. The only thing I found wrong(which was minor) was the fee for the use of WiFi. We will stay there again.
This is an excellent family oriented campground. One can hike, rappel, climb, etc. It's a very beautiful area for those that love nature and want to be surrounded by it. All showers were nice, and only one was a "pay" shower. It was newly installed and about a $1.00 for 4 minutes.
This is a wonderful RV park if you have a family. The swimming pool has lifeguards that monitor both the pool and hot tub. Their water park and amusement park are both easily accessible. It is NOT the place for privacy but amid the parks and traffic, it is quiet.
We loved this state park. The park rangers were very nice and helpful. Though there's not a pool, there is a "swimmin" hole which is actually more like a pond. There's also a trout area for fishing and license can be bought as you enter the park. We hiked beside the Colorado River which was a definite plus. Along the hiking area, (which I believe is also the pet walk area) there were also "walk-downs" where you could walk a few feet from the path to get to the river and pick up stones or feel it's coldness and strength. The main bathhouses were nice, but the vault bathrooms reeked terribly.
We pulled in, looked around, and pulled right back out. This park, though advertised in tourist brochure and looking wonderful, was actually a little scary. It was located in the industrial area of the town, behind a quick-stop and run-down "seedy" looking motel. The few campers we saw there looked to have been there a while and the pool was surrounded by a fence, barely visible from the overgrown weeds (waist high). Pull throughs were advertised. However, the ones we found were unlevel and we had to pull through one to exit the very small park. We did NOT feel safe there and opted to leave. WE DID NOT STAY.
